The 2018 Ford Ranger Wildtrak double cab utility is designed to combine strong towing and off-road capability with the practicality expected from a dual-cab ute. It is powered by a 3.2-litre five-cylinder turbo-diesel engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission, delivering strong torque suited to towing, load carrying and off-road driving. The selectable 4x4 system allows the driver to adapt the vehicle to different terrain, from sealed roads to loose or uneven surfaces.
The Wildtrak sits near the top of the Ranger range and introduces a higher level of technology and interior features compared with lower grades. The cabin includes leather-accented seating with Wildtrak branding, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, dual-zone climate control and a multifunction steering wheel. The driver also benefits from a clear instrument display and integrated controls designed for everyday usability.
With a listed payload capacity of around 950kg, a durable ladder-frame chassis and a strong turbo-diesel drivetrain, the 2018 Ranger Wildtrak offers a balance of work-ready capability, off-road performance and modern technology within a versatile dual-cab platform.
